The job: audio that pairs, lasts, and survives a pocket.
Three numbers do most of the lying on a headphone box: the playtime figure, the water resistance rating, and whatever the noise cancellation is called this year.
Playtime almost always counts the charging case. Sixty hours means the buds plus every refill the case can provide, not sixty hours of listening between charges. An IPX number describes a specific lab test with a specific water jet or spray and says nothing about swimming. And active noise cancellation is a signal processing feature that works well on steady sound and much less well on voices.
One thing this page will not do is treat any pair of earbuds as a health device. Where a manufacturer lists a hearing or heart rate feature, that is a claim in their listing, governed by the manufacturer and the relevant regulators. Hearing questions belong with a qualified professional, not an accessory site.

What to weigh
What to look for
Why it matters
What the playtime figure counts
Whether the listing separates bud runtime from total with the case
A stated 60 hours and a stated 30 hours can describe buds with very similar single-charge runtime.
Connector
USB-C case, Lightning case, or a 3.5 mm plug
A 3.5 mm pair needs a jack most current phones no longer have, and a case connector should match your other cables.
Noise handling
Active noise cancellation, transparency mode, or neither
ANC handles steady low-frequency sound well. It is not a substitute for a physical seal, and it does not remove speech.
Water resistance
A stated IPX number rather than the words "water resistant"
An IPX number maps to a defined test. "Water resistant" on its own maps to nothing.
Fit type
Sealed tips, open fit, on-ear or over-ear
Physical fit does more for isolation and comfort than any feature in the listing.
True wireless earbuds
Two separate buds and a case. The case is where the big playtime numbers come from.

TAGRY Wireless Earbuds
True wireless earbuds
Sixty hours of total playback is the highest figure stated in this category, and like every figure of its kind it counts the case. The buds themselves run a fraction of that before going back in. IPX5 is stated, which is a specific lab test for water jets and not a swimming rating.

Stated playtime
60 h, case included
The listing states: 60 hours total playback, an LED power display, a wireless charging case, and IPX5.
The listing states active noise cancellation, spatial audio and a USB-C case. It also mentions live translation, heart rate sensing and a hearing aid feature, and those are listing claims: what those features do, where they are available, and whether they are appropriate for anyone is determined by the manufacturer and the relevant regulators, not by this page. Nothing here is a recommendation to use earbuds as a medical device.

USB-C case stated
The listing states: Active noise cancellation, spatial audio, USB-C charging, and it also mentions live translation, heart rate sensing and a hearing aid feature. Every one of those is a claim in the listing and nothing more.
Thirty-five hours stated, a USB-C case, and dual connect so either bud works alone. Dual connect is the feature that matters most in daily use: one bud in, one bud charging, and the pattern never breaks. EQ3 means three fixed sound profiles rather than a full equalizer.

Thirty hours stated with the case, personalized spatial audio, and a USB-C case. The listing is explicit that the 30 hour figure includes the case, which is the phrasing this site wishes every earbud listing used. Open-fit rather than sealed, so outside sound comes in whether or not you asked.

Thirty hours stated, Bluetooth 5.3, two microphones and twenty-two equalizer presets. Twenty-two presets is more choice than most people want and exactly the right amount for the person who wants it. Water resistance is stated without an IPX number, which is worth noticing.

Soundcore Q20i ANC Headphones
On-ear and over-ear
Over-ear headphones with hybrid ANC stated at 40 hours with the feature on, which is a more honest way to quote a runtime than the usual figure with everything switched off. Transparency mode is stated too, which lets outside sound back in deliberately. App customization means the sound profile is adjustable rather than fixed.

On-ear headphones with up to 50 hours stated and both Apple and Android named in the listing. Naming both platforms is not marketing filler here; plenty of headphones pair conveniently with one and awkwardly with the other. On-ear pads sit on the ear rather than around it, which some people prefer and some cannot tolerate for an hour.

Questions that come up at the counter
Does 60 hours of playtime mean 60 hours of listening?
No. That figure normally counts the buds plus every recharge the case can supply. The buds themselves run for a fraction of it before going back in.
What is the difference between ANC and transparency mode?
Active noise cancellation uses microphones to reduce steady outside sound. Transparency mode uses the same microphones to deliberately let outside sound through. They are opposite settings built on the same hardware.
Can I swim with IPX5 earbuds?
No. IPX5 describes resistance to water jets in a defined test. Immersion is a different test entirely, and this rating does not cover it.
Are earbuds with a hearing feature a hearing aid?
That is a manufacturer claim in a product listing. What such a feature does, where it is available, and whether it suits anyone is determined by the manufacturer and the relevant regulators. Hearing questions belong with a qualified professional.
Why do my wireless earbuds keep dropping one side?
Usually the connection between the two buds rather than between the phone and the buds. Body position, a pocket, and a crowded radio environment all affect it.
