Specifications come from listings
Product figures on this site are quoted from the listings they came from and are described as such throughout. Listings change without notice, manufacturers revise published figures, and a specification that was accurate when written may not be accurate when you read it. Check the current listing and the manufacturer’s own documentation before buying anything on the strength of a number.
Safety and regulation are published elsewhere
Where this site touches lithium batteries in the air, magnets near implanted medical devices, cords worn around the neck, using a phone in a vehicle, or hearing, it explains the arithmetic and points at the organizations that publish the rules. It does not restate their thresholds as its own, and it never states that a particular item will be permitted anywhere. Those decisions belong to your airline, your doctor, your device manufacturer and the relevant authorities.
Calculators
The calculators print the formulas they use so you can check them. They are arithmetic tools, not approvals, and their output is only as good as the figure you type in.
